We still want to hear your feedback

JULY 2016 – FOURTH COMMUNITY CONSULTATION

We have shared our illustrative masterplan for Old Oak Park and now we want to hear your views.

Please note that feedback is being sought by Cargiant and London & Regional Properties in relation to their emerging masterplan for Old Oak Park and this is not part of on-going consultations by the Old Oak and Park Royal Mayoral Development Corporation.

Following consultation feedback we have now retained the Rolls Royce building – the current Cargiant HQ – which we think would be a great space for small and growing businesses. What would you like to see this building used for?

We have introduced a new canal basin in the south-west of the site. Do you agree with this approach and what sort of activities would you like to see take place in this area and on the water itself?

We are proposing to increase the amount of open space at our parks for everyone to enjoy. Do you feel that the extra space should be geared toward particular activities or left as green space?

Since our last public consultation we have reduced the number of proposed homes on the site, prioritising high quality open spaces and the retention of the Rolls Royce building. Do you agree with this approach?

We see the High Street, linking Harlesden and Willesden Junction through our site to the new HS2 station, as a very important connection between new and emerging communities and opening up opportunities for everyone. Do you agree?

We have proposed that the London Overground rail lines are re-aligned onto a new viaduct structure rather than an embankment, freeing up the land below as usable public space and enabling people to move more easily through the site. Do you support this approach or have any comments about the viaduct?

In line with the policy for the area we are proposing that sensitive edges around our site such as Scrubs Lane and the Grand Union Canal are developed at a lower scale, with taller buildings located towards the centre of the site around the new station. Do you agree with this approach?

Are there any particular Neighbourhood Area which most attract you and if so please do let us know why. Which of them you would prefer to live in?

Finally, please use this space to let us have any other comments about the proposals.
